This is Brent writing this entry.
Sorry we haven't been great at updating this blog. Life is busy, especially considering Scouts, church, school, and of course my work.
Working with the Scouts is a lot of fun. Below is a picture of the boys and I on our last hike. The wind was gusting to 30 mph and the rain was going sideways at times. Thankfully, it was only really windy one we neared the summit. (We hiked on the leeward side of the mountain thankfully). However it did rain constantly. Proof that even waterproof items get soaked after a while.

What I did on my summer "vacation."
* Endured 2 TDY's- 3 if you count Scout Camp (permissive TDY).
* Played chauffeur for Cub Scout Day Camp, NYLT (National Youth Leader Training) and gymnastics.
* Made it through the "dent ordeal":
* Had an awesome 4th of July and zoo trip with my bestest friends:
* Hosted my #1 Father-in-law (Hi Dad!)
* Shoved 2 grouchy boys through soccer camp (Hannah loved it):
* Went off to Virginia to visit my absent hubby and to my mom's to enjoy some family time:
* And I sent my last baby off to school:

Moving again . . .
. . . but not too far. We've been presented with our new housing assignment, but it's not in the brand new (Read: as-yet-to-be-completed) section. The good news is it's 4 bedrooms and much closer to Zack's bus stop. The bad news is, we'll have to move to ANOTHER house somewhere on base in about a year. And it's not nearly as nice as the house we're currently inhabiting. :P We have until May 31st to moce out of this one.
Our other option is to find a rental house off base. That way we wouldn't have to move until we transfer from this base. The bad news is 4-bedroom homes in our desired area are scarce, expensive, and may not come with certain large appliances. Ugh.
So there you have it, our current dilemma. Stay tuned!

Christmas
This year, for the first time, we had a visitor for Christmas! My dear father-in-law (whom I've adopted since my dad passed away) was here, and he added an extra bit of fun to the holiday. This was most welcome, because 2/3 of our kiddos know about Santa (that made me not so excited to do Christmas Eve). :)
On Christmas morning, the kiddos came into our room at about 7 (am yes). They neglected to wake up Grandpa, which was good since he went to bed late. It was also bad because they had to wait to open presents until he got up and around. So to kill time and/or distract them, I whipped out my camera and we started taking goofy pix. Here are a few of those:
Zack's sitting in Santa's lap as Hannah's proxy. She's scared of Santa LOL!
Hannah and Nate being their normal selves. ;)
Hannah can hardly contain her excitement!
Zack trying to be patient- not working too well. :P
The tree!
Grandpa's finally up and he gets a hug.
Here's the much-awaited present: My Little Pony with RC scooter. :)
(((HUGS))) and Happy New Year!
